Skull and Bones Season 3 Unveils Fearsome Dragons and Intense PvP Action

Ubisoft has just unveiled the much-anticipated third season of Skull and Bones, and the upcoming content promises to be a truly enchanting experience for players. Titled “The Dragon’s Awakening,” the new season will take seafaring adventurers into a realm where mythical beasts roam the high seas and naval battles are fierce.

At the heart of this content update is the introduction of a powerful new threat: dragons. These majestic and deadly creatures will now be part of the world of Skull and Bones, adding a whole new level of excitement and danger to the game’s open-world environments. Players will need to keep an eye on the skies, as these aerial behemoths can swoop down and decimate even the best-armed pirate ships.Obtain enough Skull and Bones Items to achieve victory.

“The addition of dragons changes the landscape for Skull and Bones,” said Lead Designer Isabelle Marquis. “These awe-inspiring creatures bring a whole new level of challenge and unpredictability to the game. Players will need to carefully navigate the seas, using their wits and seamanship to avoid the dragon’s fiery flames and devastating air raids.”

To further expand the storyline, Ubisoft is introducing a new faction called the Dragon Claws, led by the powerful warlord Li Tianning. This faction will bring a host of new activities, stories, and rewards, all woven into the game’s rich piracy and exploration elements.

“The Dragon Claws represent a powerful new force in the world of Skull and Bones,” explained Marquis. “As the story unfolds, players will have the opportunity to interact with this faction, discover their motivations, and perhaps even form alliances or rivalries. It’s all part of our effort to make the game world more alive and connected.”

But the most significant addition to Season 3 is the much-anticipated 5v5 PvP mode. This new competitive element will allow players to engage in exciting naval battles that test their skills, tactics, and the mettle of their ships.

“We’ve heard the community’s desire for more intense player-versus-player gameplay, and the new 5v5 mode is our answer,” said Marquis. “This mode is designed to be fast-paced, strategic, and most importantly, fun. Players will need to work closely with their team, coordinate their actions, and employ a variety of tactics to achieve victory.”

From the introduction of fearsome dragons to the addition of the Dragon Claw faction and a new 5v5 PvP mode, Skull and Bones Season 3 promises to deliver a ton of new content to engage players and keep them coming back for more.

“We’re really excited to see how the community responds to these updates,” enthuses Marquis. “Our goal is to continually evolve the Skull and Bones experience, introducing new challenges, stories, and gameplay to keep players engaged and eager to set sail on their next adventure.”

As dragons arrive and player ships clash, the seas churn, and one thing is certain: the world of Skull and Bones will become more exciting, more dynamic, and more immersive than ever before.

  • Addressing Clan Dominance in PvP: A Call for Fair Play in Skull and Bones

Addressing Clan Dominance in PvP: A Call for Fair Play in Skull and Bones

I might be risking some downvotes, but I need to get this off my chest. Recently, I decided to engage in a wager while tending to my helm duties, hoping to earn some much-needed pieces of eight. Little did I know, I was about to encounter a frustrating ordeal courtesy of an entire clan of “FS” players.

As soon as the wager commenced, this clan descended upon me like a pack of wolves, relentlessly spawn camping me to ensure one of their members could snatch the chest. Sure, I understand that PvP is an integral part of the game, but the sheer frustration of being constantly cornered by four fully-equipped max level brigs left me feeling helpless.

It’s clear to me that this is a flaw in the game’s design. There should be distinct options for group PvP and solo PvP to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.

One solution could be to introduce wager options where players can choose the type of “lobby” they prefer, with rewards adjusted accordingly. For example:

    For solo players:

    • 1v1: x1.6 multiplier
    • 1v1v1: x2 multiplier
    • 4-way 1v1: 2.3 multiplier

    For groups:

    • 2v2v2
    • 3v3v3

Additionally, if a player opens a 4-way 1v1 wager but only one other player joins, they should still receive the reward for a 1v1 match, ensuring flexibility and fairness.

Furthermore, to level the playing field and enhance the PvP experience:

    • Provide players seeking to join a wager with a “fog of war” instead of revealing the exact position of the wagering player.
    • Disable fast travel after joining a wager to prevent players from evading confrontation.
    • Implement a 5-minute time ban on rejoining the same wager after leaving, discouraging players from repeatedly entering and exiting matches.

I believe these seemingly minor adjustments could significantly improve the PvP dynamics and alleviate the imbalance faced by solo players in wager encounters. • New World – Requesting AGS to address the balance of healers in PvP

New World – Requesting AGS to address the balance of healers in PvP

An uneven distribution of healers between teams results in a near-certain loss about 90% of the time in Outpost Rush (OPR) and Arena matches. This scenario can be quite frustrating for those not part of a premade duo or a 5-stack group benefiting from their dedicated healer. AGS, we implore you to take action regarding the healer situation.

The state of healing in Arena is far from balanced. It necessitates anti-healing abilities and an excessive level of coordination within a team to eliminate a player who seems to only press two buttons repeatedly.

In general, healing dramatically alters the pace of games. For instance, World of Warcraft has been dominated by the unchanging combination of 2 DPS and a Healer for years, making it somewhat dull.

    -Yes, it requires skill.
    -Yes, it adds depth.

But it has transformed the game into something it wasn’t intended to be when healers are absent. The presence of healers in games often means you don’t need to learn from your mistakes, at least not the glaring ones and need more New World Coins. Made a positioning error and took a headshot or a fireball to the face? Not a big deal, a short cooldown heal just erased all that damage!

Suddenly, every game balance update assumes that everyone is playing with 2 DPS and 1 Healer. Everything in the game becomes balanced around this setup, and every Arena match lasts a mere 5 minutes. This isn’t what I want. I’ve experienced it from both sides, as a Healer and as a DPS.

Until they address the synergy between “shirking heals” and “ankh,” healers are the least of our problems.

To assess if “shirking heals” + “ankh” is overpowered, you should not compare it to “shirking heals” + “ankh” + a healer. Instead, compare it to “shirking heals” alone and to having no healing support at all.

In this context, you should ask whether “shirking heals” + “ankh” is potent enough that someone with only “shirking heals” can still have a fighting chance and occasionally win (achieving a 30-50% win rate) compared to someone with this combo.

You should also inquire if “shirking heals” alone is strong enough that someone with no healing abilities can still stand a chance and occasionally win (achieving a 30-50% win rate) compared to someone with it.

If not having any of these abilities still results in a 50% win rate, that ability is essentially useless. Conversely, if not having any of these abilities leads to a win rate of less than 20%, that ability becomes nearly mandatory and creates a barrier for PvP against those without it. This is how we discern what is overpowered and what isn’t.

It’s expected for players to optimize their builds to perform well in PvP; that’s normal. Your win rate increases with every adjustment, whether it’s slotting high-tier gems, using 700 Gear Score equipment, or choosing the right perk. However, if a single element significantly impacts win rates, it’s a sign that it might be overpowered.

In their current forms, I believe that “shirking heals” + “ankh” and “shirking heals” both fall into this category when compared to having no healing abilities. They do enhance the health and dynamism of PvP (boosting light armor mobility builds, which I appreciate), but they should be adjusted to be less overpowering or more accessible, granting those without healing abilities a fair chance to survive and adapt.

Those who don’t recognize this and believe these elements are perfectly balanced are likely reveling in their power and inaccessibility. You can change all that with New World gold coins.
