I just wanted to show my appreciation for this game for someone to see and possibly relate. This game is… awesome. I know it still has its problems – server issues, class nerfs, macro trading – but I loved my time in Sanctuary.
I am a daily player. I play video games all the time. But in recent years, I find myself not playing anymore. Either for lack of time, or for lack of long-term interest.
Especially the combination of the two. I have a job that requires me to work more than 50-60 hours a week, so it takes me a lot of time to get back to any day-to-day games. Even my favorite GOW Ragnarok took me a month to beat.
But Diablo 4… man. Every day when I get off work, I can’t wait to play this game. And when I have a day off? I immersed myself in the setting, the system, the side quests, it all. I haven’t been addicted to any experience in a long time.
Anyway, if you’ve come this far, thanks for reading. I really love this game and how much it makes me want to keep playing.
To be really realistic on a side game I have schizophrenia but it’s well controlled and I haven’t had delirium or hallucinations for over 5 years, my main symptoms now are lack of motivation withdrawal force (like the ignition of my brain’s engine is lost so it’s hard to get things started) and can’t feel the joy. I haven’t really enjoyed a game since playing Spider-Man on PS4, but I keep buying them during sales to see if I can spark that joy again.
Diablo IV did it for me. I have so much fun, even just running around and mindlessly killing things is awesome. I’m a rogue who mainly uses Quick Fire, Speed, Ice Mist, and Shadow Cloning as my ultimate. It’s like the enemy can’t hit me most of the time. I feel like a kid again who can play for hours.
I just bought a full-price video game (very rare for me), and now I’m obsessed and play it every day.
